The Organizational Effectiveness Project aims to provide Strategic & Operational Planning for Rutgers WPF Pakistan for 2011-2016. The objective of Organizational Effectiveness (OE) is to develop an understanding of strategic and operational planning among Rutgers WPF Team and involve them in improving the organizational structure to design a system of integrated strategic and operational planning.
A series of trainings along with technical assistance provided by RIZ Consulting have contributed in the development of a strategic and operational plan which would form the basis of redefining Rutgers WPF’s strategic and operational plans, while making the organization more responsive to the SRHR needs of the country.

- Capacity building of staff for continuation of the process
Process:
Phase I: Assessment of the organisation was carried out, along with detailed discussion with the staff on the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation.
Phase II: Rutgers WPF Pakistan staff was given an ‘Orientation on Strategic & Operational Planning (S&OP) to enhancing organizational effectiveness’ in January 2011
Phase III: Workshop was conducted with Rutgers WPF staff to finalize the S&OP draft by drafting the mission, vision & goals of the organization and carrying out a detailed SWOT analysis of the organization in February 2011. The first draft for the Strategic and Operational Planning document completed by the end of April 2011 and subsequently shared with Rutgers WPF Headquarters.
Phase IV: Quarterly meetings and discussions are carried out with regards to Annual & Quarterly Strategic and Operational Plan.
Phase V: S&OP will be disseminated to & shared with Rutgers WPF Pakistan’s stakeholders.
The OE process is a very rigorous exercise on our own works assessments, re-evaluation and vital decisions of how to move forth.
